Very friendly service, very pleasant experience. The location directly at the river and at the center of Besancon really makes it a great place to have lunch or dinner.

Our last night in Besancon and having eaten of the best and richest for 2 nights we were looking for something lighter. L'Alsacien delivered beautifully with flammkuechen both savoury & sweet accompanying by good beer! Lovely staff and a novel method of summoning customers to the kitchen!

We were looking for an informal meal and that was exactly the place to get it, excellent flamcake and salat with great wine to favorable trips in a lively location.
