Absolutely brilliant, authentic French food. Recommended by a friend of mine who is very particular about his food. Very pleasant ‘ambience’ and lovely food as well. Not exactly like being in France because the owner is far too friendly for that. However in French speaking countries like France and Belgium they are used to the English not speaking any French or even attempting to speak French, drinking too much alcohol, shouting loudly in English and dressing like someone who is colour blind. I understand where the Francophones are coming from. The owner also comes from Bordeaux, a city whose football club is where Birmingham City’s greatest ever football player Christophe Dugarry plied his trade. Like we are grateful to Christophe Dugarry I am grateful for De Maines. I had the Croque Madame and some Hunnan tea

Brilliant breakfast we always have a good time here. The food is brilliant and fresh. We come here every time we visit Moseley.

Iv been a customer since 2016, I’m a glazer and when ever I’m in the area I always have breakfast here the quality and consistently great service over the years Love this cafe it’s the best in birmingham

I had a such a lovely ham and cheese omelette for lunch here today on this gloomy, rainy day it was just what I wanted. I hadn't visited in years and the café was empty apart from me so I'm posting this to remind anyone else who hasn't visited in a while that the food's still great. Service was understated, efficient and all the better for it. I couldn't stay for long and wanted something inexpensive, hearty and warming to eat that wasn't bread based served quickly. And that's exactly what I got I'd love to see a clearer salad option on the menu.
