We ordered their carrot / avocado salad thinking it would be different because of the price. 8 sticks of carrots, with 4 tiny sticks... of avocado that wasn't even a half of avocado, yes we counted, barely clothes, $14 for carrots!!!, ridiculous. The dumplings were very delicious. Oh, and if you speak English, don't expect you to be spoken in English again. We spoke in English with the hostess, and the waiter, both remained firm to speak only in French, very sad, considering that they are trade in customer service.
I go to this place once or twice in the month to have planner. so far I have not found any other place with the taste of their thun-fish, salmon or bark. the service is great. nothing more to say. oysters are like that.
Last night we celebrated a friend's birthday in Vertigo and it was the first time we were all here. What can I say it was amazing! We all had a great time and our waiter was very nice and accommodating.
My experience in Vertigo was great!. The place has amazing ambience and very beautiful cabins with lots of attention to detail. Since other people refer to a slow service, this was my type of service; I want to go to a place where... I am not rushed into the order and then enters with the invoice as soon as I order my dessert. Although, I'm pretty finding farewell or nice that a switch of the server took place, they were both nice people, but the first worked harder to offer us things from our comfort zone and I was happy with his suggestions. We had 2 entries, 3 main dishes, 1 shaker drink and a pitcher of another drink, we had no dessert because we had a cake on the car when it was my wife's birthday. All we had was absolutely well presented, tasteful, delicious and perfectly cooked. For me, the total value of every penny was worth. Now I will go back!!!? I can't wait! If you don't, I recommend you try one night.... Oh! I forgot.. Sports lovers!!! they have big screens around!!!.
Vertigo is a great restaurant and bar with an amazing ambiance with lots of attention to detail. The service wasn't very friendly and slow at first, then a new waitress showed up to take over her shift, and things went well from that point on....I usually don't have fish, especially at this kind of restaurant, but I can say that the salmon with miso, ginger and maple was delicious and perfectly cooked. I still think the menu is about 10% too expensive compared to most restaurants of that calibre. That being said, I would definitely go back, but not that often because of the cost. I also recommend that the manager train his new young waitresses better. I recommend everyone to try on a night out!
