Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónBotwood is filled with interesting history, and this wonderful ice cream shop is conveniently located near the museum. The staff is friendly and the location is very clean. We tried the soup and sandwiches, as well as their special Lindbergh burgers. The soup and sandwiches were exactly what we were looking for - delicious and homely. The burgers were also excellent, with a variety of tasty meats and perfect fries. Compared to many other restaurants we've tried in Newfoundland, this place really makes you feel like a welcomed guest in someone's home. We are so glad we stopped by.
I lived in the opposite and would often order from island breeze in summer because I love love a good chaos and this place was so comfortable and so wonderfully delicious. I just picked up a photo of a newfie. mess so I could show my associate and what a coincidence that this restaurant appeared in the results! So of course I had to write a review. I can't expect to come home, island breeze will be on the list of places I have to visit.
Here for lunch. the service was pretty fast. the restaurant seating area is quite small, so it would not be a great place to come with a large amount of people. we had six in our group and couldn't all sit together. was eating. good, but reasonably expensive! would definitely visit again.
Had the truthahnsuppe to begin and it tasted as if my grandmother had made it home in her kitchen. I ordered a truth, not quite the amount of truth that I would have liked, but it was not important because I couldn't finish everything that little. was huge. either it was great for a fast and easy meal.
We (group of six) dropped by this restaurant on a Sunday evening for supper. It was around 6:15 pm and they close at 7:00 pm. and were just shutting the grill down. They kept the grill on long enough for us to place our order....The food was super hot, well prepared for home cooked food and we had a variety of items. Service was fast as well. Too bad they close so early on a Sunday evening in the summer. Would have to loved to have time to try their homemade desserts.
