Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónA wonderful place that is both restaurant and working family farm. The menu and times of opening are strictly limited: you will be eating duck and only fridays, saturdays and sundays (well there may be an alternative to duck, like chicken or venison but really you are here for the duck). Warmly appreciated by local people the food is just delicious. From the aperitif (home made nut liquer) through to the starters (tasting plate of a million ways with duck) to the wonderful main course of duck, magret or confit, to the salad served with home pressed hazelnut oil, the delicious cheeses and dessert of fruit and apple pie it is a trerrific experience. Just don't eat the day before or after.
So here no chichi, no cinema; It is excellence and quantity in the plate! Dinner on the table for a soup with danteque beans at will, foie gras to fall, duck in turkey or thigh with sublime gustative quality and a assortment of hearty cheeses before a sweet finish touch that slides alone! frankly a stay in the perigord without visiting this farm inn would be an unforgivable fault!!!....
Very good address on brantome. very warm welcome. meal at 27€: aperitif - soup - entry (fresh and dried magrets - foie gras) - magret or jam or dish of the day accompanied by potato jumped and cépes - salad - tray of 3 cheese - dessert ( choice of 5 desserts.) a lot of world so reserve a advice before going. Good tasting to all.
Country setting!! delicious meals!! a fat liver has fallen!! gastronomic and generous! service and explanation of the very nice farm!I highly recommend it and booked long in advance (open Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday) Sunday for groups.
Discovered almost by chance after years of vacation near brantome. First the store with fares more than interesting compared to other producers we knew, then the hostel. for the ratio quality price: 2menus (27 euros and 30 euros) including all 2 aperitif, soup, entry, dish, cheese/salade, dessert. the fatted liver cooked in the inlet: 2 beautiful slices of about 1cm thick (no extra charge. cf photo.) the only supplement we put was for a caraffe of 50cl of shepherdac to 4,50 euros and a coffee to 1euro. Owners seek to make their products and their region discover before seeking profit. for the reception, the service. you serve yourself soup and dish, which adds to the conviviality. what is not produced on the farm is produced nearby. The owner takes the time to explain to us and everything is made home from the beginning to the end (even the aperitif).Gross for the cake with nuts: to all those who know this brick cake that makes you fall the stomach to the ankles, the cake with walnuts makes you fly by its lightness, its melting and its wonderful taste. This hostel will now be our must. One negative point, because one still needs one, is not to have discovered it before!
