Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónI came in here for the ice cream; I'll have to try dinner here another time. I was able to get coconut ice cream, which I love. I had it several times while in Mexico, but it can be hard to find here.
We came here for a late night snack/dinner last week and were immediately greeted with a familiar delicious meat fragrance. The next thing we noticed was how big (and clean the restaurant is; has plenty of seatings and a wood dance floor in the middle, 4 TV at each corner and audio/speakers station close by (they have karaoke night and probably also accommodate family parties . Server was friendly and accommodating; we received our chips salsa water as soon as we sat down. Tips: Add salsa to all. The red salsa is more spicy and green salsa is a bit sour and less spicy. I like to combine both to my tacos. Here's the food review (3.5 stars : Tongue and cheek meat tacos: simple salt pepper seasoning, but meat is soft and tender. It still have the street tacos flavor but a bit too much broth in the tacos. Add their salsas and a squeeze of lime and they're still good tacos. Pastor taco: probably the best of the tacos we tried that night. Its flavor was just right, not too much seasoning and grilled just right. Steak quesadilla: simple steak and cheese quesadilla; not our biggest fan. the steak pieces could be bigger and juicier, my husband wishes it'd have more steak in it. But for the price, it's not too bad. Horchata: not the best we've had, a bit too milky and not enough rice cinnamon flavor. Chile relleno: delicious! my husband was craving and it's only available as an entree, but the server chef made it possible for us to just order one! :
WONDERFUL authentic Mexican food!! Looks a little sketchy driving up but most of the time these are the true hidden gems and this restaurant is a good example of that! It's quite a ways from where we frequent but well worth the time and we will definitely be returning often. The portions are plentiful, coming out fresh, hot, and SOoo delicious with prices comparable to other restaurants. Give it a try...you won't be disappointed!!
Probably the worst margaritas we've ever had. And we've had a lot. Food was nothing special. The inside is not nice.
This is the most authentic Mexican food I have had in the States, just as good as the food I lived on in Tijuana for two summers. If you like birria, get theirs. If you've never had birria, try theirs. It's heavenly. Get some tortillas so you can scoop the meat into them and dip them in the soup. It's heavenly, I promise. Elote lovers this is THE PLACE. The elotes are to die for. If you love paletas, go next door and grab some paletas and an aqua fresca. I'm telling you, this is as if you were getting street food IN MEXICO. So authentic and SO DELICIOUS. The service is amazing. Everyone is always so friendly, both in person and over the phone. When we call, they are so kind and make us feel special. My Spanish isn't perfect but I speak it fairly okay and someone always notices and embraces that I'm learning it. Everyone is incredibly kind. I highly recommend everything about this place!
