I’ve recently started using this pub due to its proximity to the County Cricket Ground, it’s a great pub selling an excellent selection of drinks and some top notch food. Today I’ve visited for Sunday lunch and it was absolutely sumptuous. My Roast Beef melted in my mouth, lovely Yorkshire Puddings and fresh veg with just right amount of gravy. My mother had the Cider Braised Pork Belly which she said was utterly delicious. This will be the first of many visits for Sunday lunch. Highly recommended.
Food was amazing, very good portion size. We both had a mixed roast with all the meats. The pork and Yorkie was amazing. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere was lovely. We loved the interior as it felt modern but designed well. The beer and wine selection was different but interesting and we loved the more niche selection! Dog friendly pub! Would definitely recommend.
Modernised old pub in Bristol’s Ashley Down. On Sundays they just do roasts. Their pork belly wasn’t bad but not in the same class as that done by the Kensington Arms in Redland. They have outdoor tables under heaters, extending the season when you can eat outside. The amount of time it could for the food to arrive was a bit long about 35 minutes.
Came with a large group and had a delicious roast and good selection of drinks and non alcoholic drinks
