Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónAmazing sandwiches, really really good. The hot chicken and meatloaf sandwiches are great. BUT, they are way too small for the price, and the wait is way too long. Also they no longer serve the porchetta.
A real tragedy. One of my favorite places when we moved to the neighborhood, reduced to an absolutely below average watering hole. The food used to be great, clear and transparent pricing, changed to decent food with gimmicks and no transparency. Ordered their weekday special which was a sandwich and a choice of accompaniment. Delivered to my table as a half sandwich with a few potato wedges. At $15 I 'd have paid the extra $5 for the full sandwich and left the lackluster wedges why not just tell us this? The beer no longer having a happy hour, and the choices not as good as they used to be. Why would I come here anymore when there is Beer Street South, Hops Hill and other incredibly solid places offering better options? I used to bring people here, and considered it a 5 star, solid, solid venue. Now it 's cheaped out, while raising prices that don 't justify the options. Went to the Williamsburg location to try that also, and my wife and I couldn 't believe they have rat traps around the booths. I get it 's NYC and rats are here, but come on. I 'm as sad writing this review as the food and overall experience is. I also read the reviews to try understand the decline, and I fully expect that I 'll receive an aggressive and unprofessional response from the owner to this review. Consider it constructive, and work on what the criticisms are that seem consistent in the last few years. Other businesses are flourishing please for the sake of the neighborhood fits this before it 's too late.
Amazing service, great food, local yummy beers and overall great space. Patio and bar. Bartenders and extremely nice management we will always come back! Thanks
Come for the hot chicken sandwich and great craft beer (sour, in my case). The price of the hot chicken sandwich has risen steadily since 2018, but it's still worth the splurge every so often. You can also come on a Thursday and get one half off.
Strong 4.5 stars overall. Came here when I first moved to the area a couple of years back and knew instantly I'd be in often. They had an excellent small grocery area that had quality small grab and go items. Think cheeses, beers, and other picnic type snack things. They even had some specialty grocery items that you couldn't find elsewhere like homemade pot pies from Pennsylvania. They've since reduced the size of this area, which is a bummer, but understandable as it made the space tight to walk through when busy. The real reason to come in though are the sandwiches. Some of the best in Clinton hill hands down. I switch between the cold Italian and the whiz wit cheesesteak sandwich. My girl loves the tofu banh mi so much that I don't ever have to convince her to want to drop in when I have a craving. The meatloaf sandwich they're known for honestly didn't blow my hair back but was still good the one time I tried it. So why not five stars? The sandwiches are super expensive. I'd be here 2-3 times a week instead of 2-3 times a month if they were under $15/sando. Only other thing that I'm not a fan of is the weekend brunch... They don't make some of the sandwiches when serving the brunch menu on weekends. Super annoying as the weekend is typically when I'd allow myself to splurge on a 17-20$ sandwich.
