Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónDined here last Friday night for the first time after hearing great reviews about this new place on Duporth Avenue.Well, they didn't disappoint. Both of us had a pizza (not knowing that they were absolutely HUGE and meant to be shared) but we weren't worried because that meant leftovers for lunch the next day!The pizzas were wood fired and so fresh and delicious!I had a dessert from the cabinet and it was also to die for!The service was great and waitresses all very friendly.Only fault was it was a tiny bit pricey but we didn't mind paying it for such good food! Will definitely be back :)
I went to Dolcetti for lunch today with a friend and had a fantastic time. We enjoyed a 3-hour meal as we indulged in the $35 per person 'Wog' lunch special. It was deliciously inappropriate! The lunch included a glass of house wine or beer, generous portions of antipasto, pasta, homemade sausages & polenta, and 4 shot glass desserts to share. We ended up ordering another bottle of wine to enjoy with our meal. The service was excellent, thanks to Amanda. The restaurant had a nice ambiance with lots of laughter and enjoyment in the background. I wish the restaurant and staff all the best, as they have a great menu and atmosphere for dining both inside and outside.
Dolcetti Trattoria provided a delightful evening to mark its grand opening. The Italian menu featured a variety of dishes such as homemade fennel sausages, flavorful antipasto platters, classic pizzas, pasta with a bold flavor, and delicious octopus. Despite the impressive main courses, the desserts were the highlight of the night. While some raved about the chocolate mousse, my personal favorite was the hazelnut meringues. Along with a great wine selection, exceptional service, and a cozy atmosphere, it was a fantastic dining experience overall.
A group of 8 of us had vouchers for a high tea that promised a selection of pastries, cakes, finger sandwiches, Prosecco, tea, coffee, and a complimentary pastry gift bag. However, what we received was an Antipasto platter, Pannetone, sardines on bread, cake pieces, and a tiny gift bag with a small coconut macaroon. The coffee options were espresso, cappuccino, or latte, and the tea choices were English Breakfast, Earl Grey, or Green tea. The cakes and pastries were disappointing and not what we expected. The service was fine, but we would recommend focusing on pizza and pasta rather than attempting high tea. We may consider going back for pizza, but we suggest giving the high tea a miss.
I had the Italian buffet with four others on Friday. The quantities were huge, we did no go hungry. Highly recommended as you receive a large selection of items. The best item was the pizzas, they were amazing, the best I have had on the coast!
