My husband doesn’t like it because he doesn’t like crispy potato cakes, but I think most people will agree that crispy and crunchy chips are a must! The fish is always fresh and handled with care, great tasting batter. And the price is phenomenally great, would easy pay $80+ for what I paid $50 today. Well worth the trip out from two suburbs over everytime I come here.
I just move to the area and found this hidden Gem, superb fried fish and have been trying many type of fishes that they offer, the chip is nice too. Highly recommend Fish and Chip from a fish and Chip's fan.
This restaurant was a bit out of my usual dining area in Burwood, so I wasn't sure what to expect. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious fish. The portions were generous and the quality was top-notch. The restaurant had a classic Australian vibe, and it seemed like a popular spot among the locals. The only downside was the potato cakes, which had too much batter and not enough potato. Overall, a pretty good experience.
My fiancé has been going to Angies for over 20 years and he still gets just as excited now as he did when he was a young boy. Angies offers honest and classic fish and chips without any fancy extras (and the high prices that come with them). The grilled flake is large and tastes fresh and amazing, especially when paired with a generous serving of chips.
One of the best fish and chip places you could ever hope for!!! Fresh, delicious, great quality and the owners are so friendly and kind. Highly recommend the grilled flake!!
