Church's Chicken - Calexico

The fries were not fresh, the burger was mediocre, and, as usual, they forgot to give us our barbecue sauce even though we had paid for it.

First, I want to start by saying that this place is not clean at all. There are flies flying everywhere and the place is filthy where they are preparing food. They have piles of chicken in the back that have probably been sitting there all day. My chicken was not fresh and left a bad taste in my mouth and in my whole family's mouths. It wasn't hot either and you could taste the greasy flavor in the chicken. It just left a bad taste in our mouths. To top it off, I paid for two 12-piece family meals and the board clearly stated that you get three sides and six biscuits. I asked for all fries with both meals and got fresh fries, which I was happy with. However, they made me pay for 12 biscuits when it clearly said you get 6 with your meal. I felt like I was cheated out of my money, even though the biscuits were fresh. The chicken was nasty and I had to pay for biscuits that should have been free with the meal. The cleanliness was unsatisfactory and I will never eat there again.

The chicken is decent, but the biscuits need improvement. The outside dining area is in need of a thorough cleaning - it's quite dirty. A good pressure wash for the floors and seating area would do wonders.

Super unsanitary! I went for a pick up and the girl at the counter was handling food then would turn back and handle money! The guy called her in and I don't even think she washed her hands before coming in. On top of that, she had no hair net on, longlashes and her shirt was tied back with a hair tie! I felt like I was watching a life action of Bon Qui Qui. Superunprofessional, she was so rude too, you can tell she didn't even care about anything. I ordered the combo for 4 that come with4 biscuits and she forgot them! I will not be returning! Very good food but very nasty and unpleasant experience.

I enjoy the fried chicken at this restaurant, as well as their grilled corn on the cob and jalapeño poppers.
