What a find! We were hungry after a day at a soccer tournament, and came across Guru India. The Tandoori meat platter was fantastic, and the palak paneer was tasty.Vegetarian options: Lots of options for our daughter.
Over the past couple of years, I 've frequently ordered from Guru Restaurant and have consistently been pleased with their Tandoori Non-Veg Platter. However, my experience yesterday left me quite disappointed. I called to place a pickup order, including what I thought was my usual Non-Veg Platter. When we were ready to enjoy our meal at home, we discovered that the platter wasn 't what we had come to expect; instead, it consisted of fried chicken, fish, and two samosas. We promptly called the restaurant to address the discrepancy. After a few minutes of discussion, it was clarified that the Tandoori Non-Veg Platter, which is grilled, is different from the simply named Non-Veg Platter, which includes fried items. I feel that the restaurant could improve customer experience by clearly differentiating between these two dishes on their menu, perhaps renaming Non-veg platter as Fried Non-Veg Platter or Samosa Non-Veg Platter for clarity.Additionally, when placing the order over the phone, I was not asked to specify which type of Non-Veg Platter I wanted. This could have easily avoided the confusion.Regrettably, we had to discard more than half of the food because the samosas seemed to be refried, and the fried chicken and fish were overcooked to the point of being inedible. I would suggest that the management consider revising the naming convention of their dishes to prevent similar experiences for other customers. I would also recommend the chef taste the Non-Veg Platter to ensure that it meets the standard for an enjoyable dish, rather than being an over-fried and refried assortment of meats that are not fit for consumption.
We have been a loyal customer of Guru India Millrise location for last 3-4 years. The food quality has gone down so much recently. Not sure if they had a change of chef. We ordered malai kofta, naan and tandoori roti today for lunch. Kofta had no taste and roti was unchewable and hard. I would not recommend this place
The worst customer service ever seen.Online opening hours shows open till 10PM. When you go for dine in at 9:28PM. They says we are closing in 10 mins can’t take any orders for today. When you get enter you feel not welcome at all.
