The fact they know me well makes is simply an insult. Maybe remove the big screen TV so cannot watch replays. You can control eyes better!!! Decent food, terrible manager! Lost me for good
Last review was July 2015 and service was not great. This time service was great as was the meal. Best Smoked Old Fashion I've had with candied orange slice instead of orange peel. So good I had another. Enjoyed the oysters and both sauces. Still attached to the shell which I was told by another restaurateur is just laziness on the shucking. Both my husband and I ordered the breaded veal which I enjoyed a little more than he did. He said his was a little hard to cut as breading was too hard. He had the wedge salad that was a large serving and really enjoyed. We will return for a special occasion as save high end restaurants for those.
There were four of us girlfriends at the Cattle Baron to celebrate a special birthday. I ordered a 20 oz Original 16 Copper beer $9.25 while waiting for my friends. It took the server Peter a bit to get to me but after that, the service was very good. He was training a new person and Trey is on his way to becoming an excellent server! My girlfriends ordered a virgin Caesar, a glass of red wine and a martini birthday girl! . For dinner, two of us ordered the Mediterranean chicken $28 which was stuffed with feta, spinach, dill and served with a veloute sauce. One wanted a salad instead of a potato and that was accommodated easily even though it's not on the menu as an option. The rest of us had the stuffed baked potato and Peter brought the sour cream, chives and bacon bits to adorn our potatoes. The birthday girl had the 7 oz sirloin with a blue cheese sauce $35 and I had the 7 oz sirloin naked for $32. The steaks were delicious and tender and the girls really enjoyed their chicken. The birthday girl chose the Irish Creme Brulee $11 which came with Happy Birthday written on the plate and a sparkler so we all got a taste and it was delicous! It was a lovely evening with excellent food and service!
We enjoyed a lovely dinner tonight at The Cattle Baron in Sundance. The meal was outstanding, the decor relaxing and lovely and the service was awesome. We both shared a caesar salad which was very tasty, then we each ordered the blackened shrimp and steak combo which was awesome. For dessert I loved the mud pie, my husband was not as impressed with the bread pudding. I would highly recommend this restaurant . Unfortunately we both forgot our phones so we need to go back to get photos! Give it a try if your looking for a tasty steak dinner.
Took my daughter for lunch after we finished at the passport office...what a nice reward to have a steak lunch at the Cattle Baron! It was a tough week and morning at the passport office, have to say, they were great and we did get my daughter's passport application started. It was 11:00 am when we got out and I thought we should go for lunch, spotted the Cattle Baron, took a walk, saw it was open and we got a great table, in the lounge by the window. What a rewarding celebration to have a steak for lunch here. It was delicious, beautiful decor, lovely staff, thank you Heidi for your amazing service today...just what we needed! So glad you are open for lunch, See you next time!
