Archie's Place - Calipatria

If you are in the area headed toward slab city or salvation mountain you should definitely stop here. The best Mexican food I have had in a long time. The owners are sweet, kind and offer top notch service. Archie's was also frequented by Leonard Knight the creator of Salvation Mountain. There are some pictures of me knight as well inside the restaurant along with a progress photos of a section of the mountain. Amazing food, great service, very clean and offers a small part of history if your heading toward salvation mountain.

They aren't many places to eat at in that area, but it is so good, you won't care! I let the owner choose for me and my lunch was delicious! Very authentic!

Excellent food and both the owner and his wife are the nicest folks ever. I truly love the salsas and rice/beans most!! Everything is great here!!

Permanently closed. All the signs have been taken down, except for the For Sale sign. That's all I really want to say about this place. Yelp requires me to write a bit more for my review to be accepted, so here I am trying to fill the space! I hope this is enough.
