I indulged in the BLAT on Focaccia during my first visit and the Chicken wrap with sweet chili sauce during my second visit, both were absolutely delicious. If I find myself in the area again, I would definitely return as the staff were welcoming. The only downside is the nearby children's playground that can get noisy at times, but it's understandable as they need to play.
I am a local of the area but my children are all grown now and I'm a bit over hearing kids screaming all day. This is a great place for mothers to meet for a cuppa and let the kids run around but if you're looking for a quiet place to chill this is not the place for you. A little bit overpriced I think but nice food and service.
My partner and I frequent the pod on a regular basis and are normally very happy with the level of service and quality of food provided. However this week our visit to the pod was disappointing. We arrived around 1.30pm in the afternoon with only one table filled. All the tables inside were full of dirty plates and cups including the one we sat at.We waited quiet a long time for a piece of cake and a wrap which came out separately. Meanwhile the cafe attendants were chatting away behind the counter. Then the coffees arrived once we had finished eating. Overall a less than impressive visit.
It is wonderful to have a charming café within walking distance at a beautiful park. We enjoy visiting this café either on our bikes or by walking, and the food is excellent.
I like the food that this cafe has. The menu is getting larger as the estate area grows.... but unfortunately I find the prices are a bit high and are keeping me from going back regularly. If the prices were to come down a bit I would definitely frequent here more often.
