One strange thing to note is that there are green bait boxes for mice on display, which should probably be kept out of sight to prevent people from taking them.
My wife and I took a quick trip to London and were in search of a pub near our hotel where we could try some authentic food. When we saw a picture of the sausages and mash, we knew we had to eat there. We were not disappointed. The British Outdoor-Bred Pork Sausages with Spring Onion Clotted Mash was delicious! We are planning to return for dinner tomorrow. The atmosphere was lovely, with soft background music creating a pleasant ambiance. The staff were also very friendly.
Lovely cozy pub located in Covent Garden. The staff is friendly, the food is homemade and reasonably priced, and the beer can be served cold or warm to your preference.
Ordered 3 pints of London Pride. £6 a pint. £18.90 I asked what the 90p was for ‘a service charge’ I was told. ‘Really’ I asked. ‘Yeah, if you want the beer you need service’ said the clever dick behind the bar. I’m happy to pay for a decent pint but when you are at the bar, queuing and getting ‘served’ normally, no table service, I think that’s just taking things too far. I even took our empty glasses back to the bar after perhaps I should have charged them!
Brilliant atmosphere!!! Good customer, family welcome.. Fresh drinks.. Perfect location, very central london. Clean and beautiful decor
