Good little pub. The eats are decent and the beer is A-OK. Would come to again. Best of all when I visited, it was not full of screaming children.
Great live music!! Loved the atmosphere. Clean and friendly place. Dinner was delicious, drinks were great. They are also doing much needed improvements to their accommodations upstairs since taking over the building, hostel style, very clean and fresh. Highly recommend!!
We stopped by for a drink but ended up trying some of the menu items and were pleasantly surprised. The beer was great and my wife loved the brownie for dessert, calling it the best she's ever had. Special thanks to the bartender from Dublin who provided excellent service on Tuesday night.
Stopped in for lunch today on the way home from Panorama to St. Albert and it was excellent. We stopped because their beers are among my favourite of all the Alberta craft brews and so we were excited to learn Half Hitch had opened up a place in Canmore. We sat on the sunny patio which was a great space. Lots of room, great seating, and right in the heart of Canmore. The beer was great (my favourite is Farmer 's Daughter) thought the orange infusion one I had today was very refreshing. Our kids had poutine and pretzel bites both decent though the poutine was pretty basic. Curds weren 't melted as the gravy wasn 't that hot. My wife and I each had burgers and they were well above average pub fare. My 'smith ' burger was very tasty and the pepper aioli pepper bacon really stood out. It started raining so we spend some time inside to finish out meals. Some really neat tables with some historic items, lots of TVs if you wanted to catch a game and good service.
