Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónThis was one of the worst breakfast dining experiences I’ve ever had in my whole existence. There was a hair in my omelette and the food was equivalent to an 8 year olds amateur cooking. I asked for my home fries well done and they came out mushy and soggy. My water cup was a little baby plastic cup filled with ice and it only gave me 2 sips. There was nothing fine about this dining at all. Be prepared to be confronted with hostility after giving a poor tip for poor service before you leave the establishment as well. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. Over priced food that’s just isn’t good.
After the 6 of us in our party ordered drinks, we were told that in order to sit where we were, we had each order food to stay there. We told the waitress that we were not ready to eat, and wanted to have drinks first, to not be rushed. So after that she informed us we could not stay there, and had to go on the lawn on the other side of the restaurant. I don't know why it was a problem that we wanted to wait to order food. We paid our bill and left. We wound up going to a different restaurant and had a wonderful time there instead. I really don't know who's making these rules but angering your customers is not good business. Also, if you are going to advertise that you have jack and coke slushy, then either fix your machine or stop saying you serve them. We really were going there because someone from Elaine's said they had them after we asked and then were told they couldn't make them. Super disappointed
Let me explain to you all what happened to me at Elaine’s restaurant in Cape May. I first want to say I am a local resident of cape may. I never ever write bad reviews of local business owners since I am a business owner myself but what happened to my family was simply wrong. My wife called on Thursday to make a reservation on Saturday at 6pm. The gentleman whom answered the phone said as long as you come prior to 6 pm you should get seated and it is first come first serve. When we arrived at Elaine’s at 545 pm there was a sign to seat yourself which we did at a vacant table for 8 close to the live entertainment. A waitress Tracey told us to get up because the table was being held for her friend and proceeded to sit us on the edge of the road where we could not hear any entertainment. We felt this was truly wrong and approached her to say we don’t understand the sign says seat yourself and you don’t take reservations but you are reserving tables for your friends? She said yes and seemed to not care she upset my family. Really rude and disrespectful. I will never eat here again. Nick
Excellent location ! Great staff rooms are clean, clean, clean newly renovated areas. If you’re looking for very quiet check it out first cause they have two bars, restaurant and it’s always packed cause the food is very good and service is great. Owners are always there and very chatty! We enjoy this location because it’s a short walk to he beach and the main shopping area. Enjoy a balcony room for evening scrabble games with family and listen to the music or go join them. They have a newly renovated inside room and there was a private party in there when we stayed looked like such fun. Until next summer!Walkability: Short walk to beach and restaurants.Food drinks: Very good food and staff
I was not very impressed with this bed and breakfast.... well actually it 's just a bed. There was no complimentary breakfast. You could BUY breakfast at the restaurant. For the price of the rooms (which are WAY overpriced) breakfast should have been included. Room was nice but very simple. Sheets were not changed during our stay. We were awakened by a smoke alarm at 1:00, had to evacuate, and wait for fire trucks. We were never given a credible reason, they said it was from a hot shower . Overall, it was literally just a place to crash. You can do that other places for half of the price.
