We were lucky to grab a table for 2 outside at 7:30pm (only half an hour after opening!) and all the other tables outside were reserved so it's worth reserving if you can! €10-12 for a lovely pizza, great crispy thin base, generous toppings and very tasty. A few nice desserts also on offer, beers and house wine for very good price. The waitresses were both very busy and service did take a while, but really this felt more in the French way than rudeness or neglect on their part and we spent a lovely couple of hours sat outside over our pizza, wine, and tarte tatin.
We had just had tapas and beers at an expensive bar in town and as we were not too hungry we were searching for a bar. L'Italia was about 50 yards from our boat so we stopped by for a beer. A girl on the next table was presented with a smoked salmon pizza, and after seeing it we immediately ordered two smoked salmon artichoke and creme fraiche pizzas. We were not disappointed. They were thin and crispy and two between four of us was just a bit too much. As the restaurant filled, more dishes came out all looking good and with huge portions. You do need to speak a little French though.
The place is very busy with locals eating and take away pizza. We were two of us had dinner, straight into main dish. A huge dish, very tasty however could not finish and the price is a little expensive to us.People are nice enough, that something needs to be pointed out.
Great little restaurant by the Canal during Midi Carcassonne had lovely pizzas, wine and complimentary home made limoncello!, English spoken .Recommended and very reasonably priced
This popular restaurant is a bit of a gem. Authentic Italian cooking assisted by a Portuguese waiter come pizza maker. Good value for money and friendly service, but be sure to phone ahead to make a booking (even full up on a Monday night).
