Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónThe first time to eat here. my wife was from the city and visited el tajate and was totally happy with the smokey salsa, margarita and the pork (which was too big to eat in a session). will be back and highly recommended.
I'm going to eat quite often is always okay. definitiw not the home feeling of restaurants very quiet, not much entertainment I feel menus should be presented instead of placing online. bit on the pricy side for basic Spanish cuisine.
Homemade tortillas, maul, salsas, rice, bohnen, everything! what a great meal! everything is homemade and made from ground on. the ingredients are so fresh, the owner is so friendly! we were very impressed! the Mexican good here is very authentic and comes from the condition of oaxaquena. this place should be on diners, drive intos and dives without doubt!
I strongly advise against dining here! I had the worst experience. The host or waiter—whatever his job title is—was incredibly rude. We arrived with a group of eight, but he refused to seat us until my entire party was present, which was only two minutes away. I would give him a negative star if I could. I wish I could have tasted the food, but I honestly believe I could make better Oaxacan dishes at home. What an ego!
The mixed tlayuda was delicious and enormous. The grasshopper taco was crispy and salty, reminiscent of small shrimp with shells, and it’s a great source of calcium. The enchiladas came with a fresh green sauce. Overall, the food was outstanding and the portions were generous. The staff were very polite and friendly. I had never tried tlayuda or grasshopper before, but now I'm a fan!
