Seafire Bar - Carlsbad

This restaurant is a little gem! We were pleasantly surprised. The scallops were melt in your mouth delicious. The muscles were tender and the butter-wine sauce devine. I was really surprised there weren’t more people there.

6 of us met to celebrate a birthday. Wednesday evening at 5 and we were the only ones in the entire place but the manager still made us move to the back patio to take advantage of the happy hour menu. He was not rude but also not friendly. Food was good and service was efficient. $5 house wine is a deal. Lots of seating and parking. Ambience is not exceptional but the back patio isn’t bad. Nothing compels me to go back.

Food was terrible I’m sorry to say and we sampled many items. The shrimp served flambé on a skillet was by far the worst. 4 popcorn shrimp, one tomato slice, a couple of onion slices and a few peppers unflavored. I would have been embarrassed to serve it. Zero flavor. We ate because we were very hungry. Trio of dips was a tablespoon of each. The portions were comically small and the only thing they gave in excess was their pita bread. Mussels were cracked with bits of the shells floating in the poached liquid, octopus was average at best, feta fries were again a tablespoon of feta sprinkled with oregano on a bed of fries, just terrible representation of Greek cuisine. I’m sorry but we just moved to the area and we’re hopeful that their marginal yelp reviews were unjustified. Now we know people were generous in their 3 star ratings. It was an expensive experiment to try out that we won’t do again. There has to be decent Greek food in the San Diego market but this place is definitely not it.

Muy agradable, no lleno de gente, gran aparcamiento y anfitriona rápida. La comida era buena y el servicio muy bueno. Precios muy razonables

Entiendo que era el día de San Valentín, pero ¿qué tal anticiparme a la multitud? Solo tomó unos minutos ordenar, pero no vimos a otro camarero hasta que nuestro plato principal llegó minutos más tarde. Pero ... ¡nunca obtuvimos nuestro aperitivo! ¡Fue solo un trío frío con pan de pita! ¡Hacía frío! ¡Debería haber salido en minutos! Entonces, tomamos nuestro plato principal y aperitivo al mismo tiempo. La camarera se disculpó mucho y le dije que no era culpa suya, que no fue ella quien tomó nuestro pedido. La parte triste también fue que nadie nos revisó para ver cómo estábamos, rellenar nuestra agua, traernos una pajita, avisarnos cuándo vendría la comida, etc. Mi salmón era excelente, a mi esposa le gustaban sus chuletas de cordero, el postre era bueno también. Con todo, lamentablemente, no vamos a volver
