Price to value, sauce on the side is amazing! My flight got in a little later than I expected so I was struggling to find something opened late night in Carmel. Sauce on the Side closes at 9pm and has a smooth online ordering system so that was the obvious choice. For as many times as I 've been to Carmel for work, I haven 't been able to stop by here but have heard amazing things. I created my own calzone (despite hearing their salads are amazing and practiced patience. The delivery woman came into the hotel I was staying to ensure a smooth drop off and she was super friendly. I swore I was only going to have one half of the calzone since it 's ginormous but what do you know, I joined the clean plate club that night! Next step is convincing my team to come here for lunch next I 'm in town so I can get a salad (but let 's be real, calzone is totally gonna go down again!
