Yamato Japanese Steakhouse And Sushi

I really don't like there food much wasn't impressed at all.

Last night I walked in to a dimly lit room and didn 't see any customers and asked sincerely, Are you guys open? A female employee there wise cracked, No we 're not open . That was my initial experience. The guy who seated my wife and I was polite, however. He was new. The food was very mediocre. Tasted like it was a frozen Chinese TV dinner that had been heated up. The rice was the only thing that tasted decent. I ordered a Japanese menu item (Hibachi chicken and the steak equivalent), but it tasted nothing like Japanese food. The sauce or gravy was horrible... couldn 't finish the meal. Very disappointed in the quality of the food. The salad dressing wasn 't remotely authentic and the miso soup was terrible. Our waiter recommended a crab sushi item. Probably should have tried that.

The Godzilla roll is good here. The habachi is good too. It is fairly priced although it is a tad expensive. The scenery is nice and it has a cozy feel, quiet feel. The staff is friendly and overall was a nice place to eat.

Amazing food and service! We highly recommend this place. Can’t wait to go back!

Trying to order a to go is impossible our company has a 10 person order and no one will answer the phone. This is no way to run a business.
