Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónSmall restaurant with the majority of seats outside on the pavement sidewalk. Attended as a group of seven. Nice selection of dishes mostly centred on noodles. Quite tasty moderate sized portions just enough for one. Average food. Would have been more comfortable seated inside. Fortunately a little overcast at lunchtime. Certainly too hot for a glass of wine or beer. Be advised the back entrance is now the front and you can not enter from the Mall side.
Food is super delicious! Banh Mi baguettes are crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside! Brought me back to Vietnam instantly. Run by Vietnamese. Just manage your expectations about the service. Their English is not that good so don't make too complicated requests. People love this place too, so sometimes their service cannot keep up with the crowd as well.
I considered this as a hidden gem. At the UE square mall; it did not standout among the cafes.i saw some people eating soupy items at the outdoor seats, we decided to come back for lunch the next day. We ordered the beef ball pho soup ,bun canh chua( vegetable with rice vermicelli in sour soup) and deep fried tofu. All three were good! The sour soup was less common here in Singapore but turned out to be a good choice.
The Vietnamese woman who appeared to be in-charge REFUSED to accept the burbble offer because she: 1. insisted that we booked our table online WHEN they actually could not find our booking, so shouldn't that qualify us as walk-ins? 2. insisted also NO ONE told her we wanted to use burbble, truth was when we were placing our orders we ASKED a male server who said he would check. Also she wanted to charge us $3.50 for ONE additional portion of mint leaves and bean sprouts condiments request. Her tone and attitude was totally unacceptable. Not to mention the pho broth pork seasoning were too salty. Also the male server ASSUMED we wanted ice coffee when we ordered coffee. He could have checked if unsure. And when he delivered the wrong order he expected us to accept them. No apology offered. We put up with the above because we didnt want to make a scene. So if you are reading this, source for another Vietnamese restaurant. There are many other authentic ones in Singapore.
Food is delicious!! Ordered fresh spring roll, Banh Mi, and some interesting Vietnamese drink and totally enjoyed all of these! Will be back. The food for sure makes up for the lack of ambience in the restaurant!
