Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónSadly, we made a point of coming back to this restaurant after passing by on a visit to Amelie les Bains (which had several restaurants.) We thought we would support this small town spot. We sat down on the inside which housed the majority of tables and were the only ones there. There were people seated on the terrace. One of us speaks Spanish and the other speaks French, both of which the Owner claimed he understood. The restaurant had local cuisine so we had some questions as to what they were so we could make a choice. We decided to keep it simple and order pizza or possibly the Milanese (schnitzel) for the kids. The Owner was quite impatient and said we needed to hurry up and get on with our order. When we asked if the kids could share the Milanese, he unceremoniously kicked us out........??????? End of story. UNBELIEVABLE! Here we are as tourists, trying to enjoy France, and this is how we are treated?? STAY AWAY!
I never made it placing my orders before I observed the round little waiter go berserk over the fact a foreign family with 2 kids politely asked the waiter if their children could share a plate. Amazing to see, the waiter first refused them kids menu, then tried to squeeze up the pizza choice to more expensive ones. The last thing I saw was the little man smacking the menu in the table upon receiving the above question. Considering that the menu was so greasy that pages were stuck tight, I am glad I just walked away. 2 min up the street is a better alternative where customers are valued, prizes are lower and good local food is served. Casot de la Farga, I think it was called. Good luck!
An impromptu visit as my ride had business to do so he stopped off here! Wow what a hidden gem an amazing family owned winery that oozes history the wine
Ten of us appeared on the doorstep of La Frigoulette. We had not reserved as our outing to this restaurant was not planned in advance. The waitress, although taken aback by such an influx of customers, advised that we all take the same menu to facilitate service. Bingo! The food was very good and the price excellent.
I live nearby in Ceret, and we come here once or twice a week, when we are 'in town'. A good honest menu, which is more comprehensive than others in our area, catering for vegetarians and meat eaters, alike. It really does have an extensive menu. The Pan et Tomate et Aioli is a real killer starter/nibble, and everything is of a good standard for the price. Cod with potatoes gratin is very good, my wife like omelettes, and the mushroom one is packed with them.A restaurant you can go to , which is consistent, friendly and very good value for money
