Black Dog Smoke Ale House - Champaign

The aromas in this restaurant were fantastic! The beef brisket sandwich was scrumptious, and I particularly enjoyed the hot Georgia peach sauce. However, the sides didn't quite measure up. I tried the elote, and someone else at the table had the mac and cheese, and both were rather bland.

The food is excellent and very reasonably priced given the quality and portion sizes. The restaurant is located in an old train station that has been beautifully remodeled.

The food and service were exceptional. I particularly enjoyed the brisket queso appetizers!

This was our first time at the new location. It’s a bit odd of a space. Food seems a bit less spectacular as I remember the old space. Service was good.

First time. Solo diner. Brisket was excellent. Loved the smoked sweet potato. This place will stay on my list for whenever I am in town.
