Well, I had already ordered extra fries in addition to my salad which was forgotten the first time. I call them back, but still nothing. I had to call him a second time, I might as well tell you that I had already finished my salad when I got the fries... So I give 3 for the service, just because they are not bad, but given the errors, it would deserve a 2. Then, this summer, many more vegetarian choices and above all, they were able to adapt: if I chose a burger and asked to replace the beef steak with a potato pancake , it was done, but not anymore, they have refused, saying that it was a chain and that they were restricted by management. And indeed, that's the whole problem with the chains, that's why I'm definitely going to stop going there. Because they are no longer cooks, but people who do a little and above all reheat. A real cook knows how to adapt, knows how to innovate, knows how to do something else if the customer is allergic, vegetarian or has dietary restrictions (health problem, etc. , etc. I have several good examples of restaurants that have real cooks and adapt. As in Vouharte for example, they manage to make superb, delicious vegetarian dishes even though they do not normally offer any on the menu. That's what cooking is all about: knowing how to adapt and not always doing the same thing. I find it a shame not to try to do better. To start from the principle that... as long as there are customers, there is no need to improve because things are going... that's not what cooking, passion, the taste of things are. The cuisine is ordinary and without adaptation, but is not bad either, that's why I rate it 2 and not 1. The atmosphere at the moment, it hasn't changed, it's still the same, a lot of noise , the headache can quickly arrive, I would advise installing acoustic panels to improve this. If there isn't one, it's not for financial reasons given what they put into the decoration (just in case, it's a choice . And what's more, it's still expensive, there for once, with all the negative points the quality/price ratio is not there! The remaining positive point, I would say, is the kindness of certain servers.
I am quite surprised by my experience at Au Bureau Champniers. I have eaten there 5 times, including once in December 2024. The atmosphere of this restaurant is quite friendly, it feels a bit like the cheap version of an English pub, but it makes quite a good impression. You shouldn 't dwell too much on the details of the decor (for me I have the impression of being in Disneyland.. , but the acoustics are correct, good lighting, and the pub atmosphere is definitely there. As for the welcome and the staff, they have always been attentive, but unfortunately they are often blocked by absurd rules coming from the chain... It is forbidden to change ingredients in a dish (at apart from the accompaniments . What heresy when we know how important it is in the restaurant business to be responsive and flexible in the kitchen according to the customer 's requests. Please note, I 'm not saying that the customer is king , I 'm just talking about slight adjustments like changing the steak to a hash brown in a burger. Something so simple that no restaurant in Angoulême would have refused. The dishes are well prepared, but the passable quality of the food and the deplorable design of the dishes (of the chain make them too bland, stuffy, tasteless or too fatty. This restaurant is like the chain restaurants in the outskirts: it 's on the road, easy to park, fast, family-friendly, supposed to be less expensive than in the city (no , but we forget the essentials of catering: cooking. In truth, I 've eaten at this restaurant 5 times, but I can 't wait to taste something there one day.

When we arrive at the office, we are never disappointed. The welcome is pleasant, it is clean, it is good, the value ratio is there. It's a safe value. the only apartment is that we arrived soon, certainly, but the staff begins to clean the room (passing the broom) around us. It makes us realize we have to get out. the level of dust on the plates is not ideal. But next time, we'll arrive sooner.
