Hanaki Sushi - Chesapeake

Fantastic sushi with a wonderfully friendly and attentive staff! We've sampled several of their rolls and have never been disappointed. Their seafood soup is the best we've ever had! The restaurant is cute and clean as well!

One Star Is Too Generous! I arrived at 2:45 PM and a Chinese lady informed me that they were closed for lunch. I've been going there for years, and this situation is just absurd! Who takes an hour and a half for lunch? That seems like an American thing to do, but I don’t know of any businesses around here that operate the same way. It’s truly bizarre! I will never return. By the way, Yama on Volvo Parkway in Chesapeake has the best sushi anyway! It’s bug-free and top quality! Check it out—you won’t be disappointed!

Following a friend's recommendation, who frequently visits this restaurant, I must say...YUM! We all started with the cucumber salad, which was incredibly fresh and came in a generous portion—definitely enough to share! The Yellowtail Tartare surprised me but was truly delightful. We also tried the Halloween Roll, the Fire Dragon Roll, and the seared tuna dinner, and all of them were fantastic. Having had sushi all over the country during my travels, I can confidently say this place ranks among the best and is very reasonably priced. While the exterior may not be impressive, the interior is beautiful and cozy. I hope to return to the area soon!

This was our first time at this restaurant as we’re always looking for new dining options. We tried the Lovers Boat and while the sushi was good, I’ve had better Lovers Boat experiences in the past that offered more roll varieties. The service was quite good, though.

The food was exceptional! I absolutely loved the sashimi!! Food: 5/5, Service: 5/5, Atmosphere: 5/5.
