Smashing little cafe, that serves delicious coffees and a good selection of teas, alcoholic to non alcoholic drinks, comfortable seating outdoors and indoors, the staff are please,helpful and smartly dressed

My mother and I visited this place after a day of shopping in Chester a couple of weeks ago, and I highly recommend it for afternoon tea. Despite the price (around £7.50 per person or £14 for two), we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. We each received a prawn mayonnaise and an egg mayonnaise sandwich, a large scone with clotted cream and jam, and a selection of cakes and macaroons, all served on a tiered stand. The food was fresh and delicious, and the service was attentive and friendly. The manager even came by for a chat after we finished. Overall, it was one of the best afternoon teas I've ever had. The cafe is beautifully decorated, the timing of the service was perfect, and the price is unbeatable. I was surprised to read some negative reviews online, as our experience was fantastic. I believe they must have made some improvements. I highly recommend a visit and look forward to returning in the future.
