We started with an appetizer and a side salad, and everything seemed fine. But when our meals arrived, my wife asked again about the malt vinegar, only to be told they actually didn’t have any. The waitress thought there might be some on a shelf in the back, but it was nowhere to be found. When offered a different type of vinegar, my wife declined. The waitress even asked if she’d like to order something else now that our food was at the table. Just to clarify, this restaurant is located in the parking lot of a Walmart—yes, the kind of Walmart that has everything. I even offered to run over and get some malt vinegar, but my wife said no, so she just picked at her potatoes and veggies. At this point, I had lost my appetite and was feeling frustrated since this dinner was my idea. It’s a shame how customer service seems to be a dying art. It feels like businesses no longer put themselves in their customers' shoes. I would have happily paid extra for someone to make a quick run to the store to make my wife’s dinner enjoyable. It’s surprising that some places seem to overlook such simple ways to improve service when there’s a popular chicken restaurant just nearby that seems to understand this concept perfectly. Customer service should always come first.
