From the moment we entered, it was clear the restaurant was overwhelmed with a large party that was expected in a few minutes. Frankly, if they can't handle an event and individual diners, they should not have taken reservations. We spent nearly $200 for a very very disappointing experience. The server was pleasant but totally distracted. The food was really basic. The noise from the large event made communication difficult. We never got refills on water, had to chase down our dessert, etc etc. They charged our card twice and told us not to worry, we'd get a refund in 3 5 business days. And to add insult to injury, the parking validation barely defrays the cost to park we got hit with an unexpected parking fee at the end. Boo!
We had an amazing dinner, and our server was outstanding! Such a beautiful place with a fun and upbeat atmosphere. Can't wait to go back!
This was my 2nd time here. Fun place! The food was good and the staff were so attentive and friendly. They gave us the options for tables to seat our party of 6. Very accommodating.
Four of us met at 5:30 for dinner on a stormy night, and we were delighted that the restaurant was pretty empty, so we could easily converse and hear one another. By the time we left (around 8), it had become crowded and lively, and it was harder to talk but everyone seemed to be having a good time. Our server was excellent and made superb recommendations. We had the rockfish special, the butternut squash risotto, the fish and chips platter, and the shepherd's pie (which wasn't on the menu but our server recommended it). We shared the brussels sprouts for an appetizer and the sticky toffee pudding for dessert. All were excellent (and I'm glad I didn't have to choose among them for the best, because they were all so good).
Service was friendly but very disjointed and not organized.
