The Reservoir - Chicago

The jalapeño spread that accompanied the chicken and waffles was delicious. I suspect the maple syrup had a hint of bourbon flavor? The atmosphere was pleasant, featuring tall upholstered seating with buttons. I would have preferred if they played K-pop on the TV instead of sports.

This was my first time at The Reservoir, but I came with relatives who can't stop raving about it. The food and atmosphere were fantastic! After brunch, we strolled around the neighborhood and visited a charming dog boutique nearby, where one of the owners of The Reservoir, David, had provided a margarita pesto pizza to celebrate their one-year anniversary. We tried it, and it was the best I've ever had! David was incredibly friendly, too. I can't wait to come back to this restaurant!

The only reason I didn’t give a 5-star rating was because of our server, who ranks among the worst I’ve ever encountered. I usually find it easy to be satisfied and rarely get upset with servers, as I know their jobs can be challenging and fast-paced. However, it was evident that the other staff were performing excellently. The person who brought us our food was very friendly, and another server who cleared our empty plates was also pleasant. Even the owner or manager stopped by to check on us, which was a nice touch. I won’t go into detail about our server's shortcomings, but it was disappointing. However, I plan to return in the coming months and hope to update my review then. Overall, it’s a great place to eat, with outstanding food and a casual, fun atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit!

A friend lives near here and recommended it for an early dinner. Great choice! We chose a table near the window. Split three starters... tenderloin sliders, tilapia fish tacos and fried calamari... and all were excellent. The four sliders were veryfilling and would have been more than enough as an entree. Service was great... Maria our waitperson took good care of us. Fairpricing considering the quality. Street parking was challenging, and I imagine it would be more so later in the evening. If TheReservoir was in my neighborhood, I'd be here all the time.

The burger was outstanding! It was cooked exactly to my specifications and was incredibly flavorful. The mac and cheese was decent, but the noodles were a bit overcooked. The French fries were tasty, but they should be served hot rather than just warm. Our waiter provided excellent service!
