Just back from a totally wonderful lunch at at Marwicks. Such a delightful venue. The staff were most welcoming and sat us at an easy access table as our friend uses a wheelchair. The food was delicious with sensible portions. We will return soon. Thank you All Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
A quantum of style and sophistication in this tiny harbourside village. Have visited the Millstream Hotel for 40 years and it never disappoints! The team of staff never cease to be charming and humourous and the food is exceptional within this classic quintessentially English hotel. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Situated in the Millstream Hotel, beside the Sea School Restaurant, Marwick's Brasserie offers lunch and dinner in an upmarket café style. No tablecloth, but cloth napkins which are not placed on your lap. The menu is simple but with international cuisine hint. Pleasantly received and quickly seated. Order taken without delay but first course not received for 25 minutes. Mains arrived without delay. Cheese souffle was very well prepared and tasted good. Rendang from Indonesia was tailored for Western tastes bland and tasteless. It came with parathas which were the driest and meanest parathas we have ever tasted, more like light fried chapattis. Pork meat ball could have had some more fresh coriander. Deep fired haddock was excellent with chunky chips. Wines are overpriced and not good value. They do not accept AMEX so won't be going back! Why won't the establishments put what credit cards they do and do not accept on their websites.
