Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónOMG! Ok, I expected to get great BBQ and great service! Both were provided by our wonderful server! But I was not prepared for how good that banana pudding was that she brought us! While not a fan of whipped cream, the freshness of the pudding was out of this world! The pudding was freshly made, and the bananas were not too thin but not too thick. The cookies were crisp and had a snap as you bit into them! Please forgive the lack of a photo, I was so excited to dig in that I forgot to take one!Hands down the best banana pudding I have found since coming to Texas in 2016! I will be back for more!
We always make an effort to stop at this place when we go to or pass through San Antonio/China Grove. The food is always delicious and fresh. The price is great and the portions are pretty big. I recommend the brisket and their creamy macaroni!Parking: It's a dirt road and their are sometimes rocks that kick up, so drive slowly.
Food was decent. We went about 40 mins before closing. They are serious very about leaving at 6. They turned off a football game with a few minutes left in the game, about 6 mins before 6pm. ? I normally don’t show up that close to closing time anywhere. Staff were very friendly. Food was good, some of the meat was alittle dry but then again I went later in the day. Price wasn’t bad for bbq. Restrooms are super dark. The fly issue was kind of annoying, but over all I would try eating here again.
For something that 's AYCE, it 's pretty darn good! We all opted for their AYCE BBQ cuz how can you not pass the chance on some TX BBQ?Firstly of all, their AYCE, you honestly CAN 'T beat this deal for AYCE Texas BBQ! $27/person!! So yeah, TELL ME! We came here for my husbands 40th birthday mainly cuz of his favorite band the Doobie Brothers song China Grove since this location is located in China Grove haha... we got seated pretty quickly at around 5-530, the hostess/waitresses were really nice and helpful! They got orders out in a timely manner which is much appreciated with a hungry young kid hahaFood: I ordered their brisket, ribs and chicken, with green beans and Mac and cheese to start. Some of the meats I 've enjoyed were their brisket and chicken! Super tender and flavorful! Sausage was pretty on point too! Their steak was ok, a little on the dryer side but it was ok. Also... if you did do AYCE and just got so dang full just from the first round, they 'll just knock off the AYCE price and just give you the reduced plated price for your order. So don 't fret! But also... if you do AYCE you can 't to-go any leftovers, they will remind you about that!Parking, seemed plenty, large rows to parking and room for trucks.Ambiance: just like your typical Texas saloon vibe, cozy and all but with ample seating, but at least we got there within a timeframe that wasn 't extremely busy so that helped haha. Overall, would come back again!
I tried this place for the very first time. This place is expensive for the amount of food that is served. I ordered the two meat plate. I was served a thin slice of brisket cut in half and maybe about five slices of a sausage link cut in thin slices. I didn't care for the potato salad. The green beans were okay. The banana pudding was not good at all. It tasted like instant pudding and there weren't any bananas in the pudding. I spent $25.00. Also the person who took my money asked for a tip. I don't like it when I am told to leave a tip. I think that is very rude, impolite and discourteous. I won't return.
