The food was excellent, the price can get bit steep if you want to eat well and if you add alcohol. Atmosphere is fine... if doing BBQ I think not a lot of thought was given in terms of handling the smoke... came out with clothes smelling of BBQ. I recommend the fried chicken
As a fan of Korean food and soju, ever since I started living in London I've been looking for the place to hang out and enjoy my time. I've been a regular to Soju and co for months, and I was never disappointed, both on matters of the service and food. If I had to sum up my 2019 this would include Soju and co, and since I spent my last day of the year there too, I can only recommend it to everyone that wants to drink, eat and enjoy their time in a cosy environment and friendly people around.
We queued for half an hour at night in the cold for a table but it was definitely worth it! We trusted this Korean restaurant because Korean themselves go there as well! We sat at the upper level. We were not into barbeque so we ordered hotpot soup with beef and vermecilli noodles. The vermecilli wrap was a wrong order (our fault) but was surprisingly good. would definitely bring all my friends here next time.
This was my first time trying Korean barbecue, and the waiter recommended we order lettuce and rice to make wraps. However, when the meat arrived, there was no lettuce or rice. The waiter assisted us in cooking the steak on the grill, but when I inquired about the missing ingredients, he simply said we didn't have to wait. After ten minutes, the rice finally arrived, but despite asking multiple times, the lettuce, kimchee, and raw vegetables never made it to our table due to the kitchen being "very busy." We ended up eating the beef without any accompaniments, and the kimchi pancake we ordered never arrived. As we were finishing our meal, a bowl of soaking wet lettuce appeared, followed by the kimchee. When we asked for the bill, there was no manager available, so we spoke to a supervisor who blamed the kitchen's limited staff for the mishaps. I questioned the quality of the lettuce being wet, but was told it didn't matter as long as it was clean. Overall, our experience was a disappointment as we paid £50 for just two servings of meat and a few drinks without any of the sides we ordered.
