Put simply, my wife and I really like Amata. We are not followers of trendy, nor is popular enough of a reason for our frequent patronage. We return because the food is consistently excellent, the decor is attractive but not overwhelming, and the background volume level is appropriate for conversation, which makes this a place to take friends, family, and even business associates. The owner comes from a restaurant family, and he has the experience and intuition to know what works, especially in this location. Importantly, the red sauce and cheese are of high quality and flavor, and they know the meaning of al dente. We live in the neighborhood, and Amata is an asset to the community.
