Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónSeinfeld fans rejoice! Need I say more? While the interior looks nothing like the set from the show, the exterior matches perfectly. The food is delicious and reasonably priced for New York City. It's easily accessible by subway, plus a short 200-meter walk. If you love Seinfeld, you definitely have to check this place out!
Once we were seated, I noticed that the bathroom had an "Out of Order" sign, yet the waitress claimed it was functional (despite the sign still being displayed). This could be very misleading, especially for someone with social anxiety who might hesitate to inquire about it, potentially leading to an uncomfortable situation. After we placed our orders, we waited for our food. Being seated where we were allowed us to overhear the servers calling out orders loudly to the kitchen, which seemed prone to errors unless the chefs are exceptionally skilled at their jobs—something I find unlikely. When our food arrived, it was relatively average, which seemed to confirm that the only draw of this place is its appearance on the show Seinfeld. As for my order, I decided to get fries on the side and requested some ranch dressing. The waitress quickly informed me it would be $2.50 for a small container—absolutely outrageous! It’s hard to justify that price for a mere thimble-sized amount of ranch. Lastly, when it came time to pay, the waitress presented us with a handwritten check and added an 18% tip without giving us an option to decide how much we wanted to tip. It felt manipulative. Additionally, we were effectively compelled to pay in cash, as using a credit card would incur a 3% fee. Overall, my experience here was quite disappointing.
I recently discovered an incredible hidden gem that I can’t believe I overlooked for years, even though I’ve been living in the city for quite some time. Tom's offers fantastic food, but more importantly, it’s the perfect escape from the pesky mole people who have been shadowing me. They dwell underground but seem to track my every move. Interestingly, they don’t seem to follow me inside the restaurant, which is a welcome relief. I definitely plan to visit Tom's much more frequently from now on. By the way, who is this Seinfeld person everyone keeps mentioning?
Iconic. Must come. The food is average, but not bad. The service is good, not over the top. But it is a worthy trip to get here to eat. Being a Seinfeld fan for decades, coming here is a must. It doesn't disappoint.
Mythical place: Good food, not expensive. Charges extra if pay w/ card
