Pasta, garlic bread, salad, a surprisingly good bottle of Cabernet it was just what we all needed! Highly recommend for some classic Italian w generous portions and friendly staff.
Great Italian food! We ordered the vegetarian pasta and the napolitana pasta. The waitress was very kind and changed our meal even the mistake was ours. The price is nit cheap but worth the service and the food.
This Italian restaurant's food is simple but extremely delicious. We had the garlic bread with a mushroom appetizer that was amazing. They also gave us hot sauce on the side upon request that would blow any spice lover's world. I ordered the spaghetti puttanesca without anchovies and it was simply perfect. The olives and tomatoes were sauted just right. Would definitely recommend this place if you like Italian food!
Australian visiting Panama, needed some comfort food after a long red eye flight from California. Tre Scalini was on point! Try the Salmon Carpaccio and Sangria
Tre Scalini was recommended to our group by someone at their other party's hotel. I tend to shy away from Italian in places where the area doesn't cater to a large Italian population to keep the restaurants true to their cuisine of choice. We skipped appetizers and salads were not served with our meals. Everyone had their vino of choice orders were placed. I had the Mediterranean Seabass with fresh cherry tomatoes and capers served with your choice of side. I opted for spaghetti olio- basically nothing but a little oil. Once my plate arrive, I quickly added plenty of parm and freshly cracked black pepper to my pasta so I had cacia de pepe. My seabass was cooked perfectly with crispy edges I love, and the portion was generous. The sauce was delish although a bit much. I think they could have put less. My fish was completely covered in it BUT the flavor didn't overpower the fish, thankfully. I ate every bite of it- and had just a luttle if the pasta to go with it (didn't want to be overly stuffed pasta will do that). The cherry tomatoes were fresh with bright red color but cooked just the way I like them. They added a lovely pop of flavor with each bite. My hubby had the seafood risotto and it did not disappoint...we are very discerning about risotto so we can be kinda critical on that dish. Certainly give this little place a try. It was quite good and prices were decent!!
