Joe's Crab Shack - Clearwater

Our experience on the patio with our waiter, Alexander, at Joe's Crab Shack was enjoyable. Alex was a great salesman and ambassador for the restaurant. He provided recommendations, ensured we had everything we needed, and even took photos of us. The food was delicious and although we were tempted to start happy hour, we decided to wait this time. The playground kept my son entertained while we waited for our meal. We will definitely be returning in the future.

The food at this restaurant was decent, but it was evident that the seafood was frozen rather than fresh. I ordered the Cajun Steampot, which included lobster claws, snow crab, shrimp, mussels, potatoes, and corn. Unfortunately, everything cooled off quickly, leaving me with cold seafood to eat. Eating the crab legs and lobster required getting messy, so it's not an ideal spot for a first date. The bib provided a hint of the messy experience ahead. Despite the drawbacks, I am glad I tried it. My nephew only took one bite of his pepperoni pizza before deciding he didn't like it. He is a picky eater. On the other hand, my mom enjoyed the sampler meal with hush puppies added.

The restaurant was excellent but I was disappointed to find out that they do not serve whole lobster at this location. This means you cannot enjoy their traditional steam pot, The Bean Town Bake, which includes two lobsters, clams, shrimp, potatoes, sausage, and corn on the cob at this location. They do offer a good variety of alcoholic beverages though. Overall, everything else was really good!

I had fun at this place! The staff here are entertaining. I saw them singing for birthdays and even line dancing. So I pulled out my paper apron and saw that the staff customizes it with a funny sea food description of you?I happened to be ?Hot Steamy? and my friend well I don?t want to say???????????? Ha ha ha! It was hilarious! If you?re looking for a cool seafood place to hang out then this is it when it comes to fun. This place has great seafood, a bit pricey for the portion served Ouch! The drink menu has a great selection of fun tasty looking drinks I?d like to try. The decoration, outside dinning, gift shop, sports bar, restroom was all on POINT. I don?t mind returning especially for a fun good time.

The waitress was very nice and friendly. food was excellent and super delicious! would recommend! we ordered the joe's crab for 2 (crab legs, shrimp, sausage, corn, and potatoes seasoned with old bay and garlic). we also got one of the special drinks that light up, very cute touch and yummy drink!
