Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónWe booked this place for dinner, also because of previous but outdated reviews. It was a shocking experience and one of the worst restaurant experiences we have ever made. We ordered Tapas which was the only choice and appeared to be supermarket fare. White wine was warm but the craft beer was excellent. We felt sorry for the young team who in our view were so understaffed that they had no chance to serve customers as it should be. It's ok to sit there to enjoy a beer but we would never go there again to eat.
We had high hopes before having lunch here on market day recently. Sadly, it was quite a let down. Both of our main courses were cold (one was returned and had evidently been blasted in a microwave when it reappeared) and there was a 45 minute wait between our very average starters and the main course. We did not stay for cheese, pudding or coffee even though we had ordered the menus. This auberge is overrated, expensive and a little bit of a tourist trap when one can enjoy a simple, satisfying and hearty dish in many other establishments within the town centre.
Stopped in clunky yesterday on rout to Avignon having driven through stunning countryside and villages with amazing views and chateaus. The town of cluny is lovely and we will revisit on our next trip as we arrived to late for the market. Managed to get a table outside in 18 degrees and a fantastic meal. The special of beef bourginon was divine and my wife had the beef carpaccio which was sublime. The owner was great, very friendly and helpful and has promised to help us next trip with a more intimate accommodation. Definitely coming back...
Always very satisfied. Good traditional and warm cuisine. Friendly and friendly staff
Arrived without having booked very well received bistro kitchen that we love it
