Went in on a Wednesday evening to get drinks at the bar. The hostess told us they were full with reservations, and we clarified that the bar does not take reservations. She said correct, they do not, but she wanted everyone on a “20 minute breather” and asked, could we please wait. We sat for 5 mins before walking to the bar, which was half empty. Who waits for bar seats at an empty bar? Not us. Others walked right past us to the bar and we can only assume they sat down. Guess we shouldn’t have talked to the hostess first.
Everything I have gotten from here I have loved. Everything I ate felt very clean and that all of the food was planned perfectly. All the seafood was cooked to perfection, and the meat was like butter coming off the bone. And the truffle fries are perfectly cooked and seasoned beautifuly.
I sat at the bar and took some suggestions from the very helpful bartender. Everything was very, very good. My only criticism would be on the main entrée I ate, the cod. It was an aggressive amount of slightly undercooked leaks that took away from the flavor of the fish. Other than that, highly recommend.
Ribeye was $58 and felt like I could have bought a better cut of steak at Walmart for $10. Girlfriend’s sirloin was over $40 and so tough it was a chore to even try and eat it. Only saving grace was the incredible waitress we had who was so attentive and kind. It’s a shame, this place used to be great but, unfortunately, I would not recommend anymore.
