Big Banana - Coffs Harbour

Of course, you would assume that the big banana has bananas.... but they actually have more vegan food than what was a surprise as I expected that the typical tourist tariff of chips only option. I have the vegan carving with salad and sweet potato chips and vegan aoili, it was really good! Beautiful outdoor or indoor seating, ideal for late lunch as they open until later #Veganuar

I was pleasantly surprised to find that Big Banane offers more vegan food options than just bananas. I expected the typical tourist fare of only chips, but was pleased to discover a variety of vegan dishes on the menu. I ordered the vegan carving with salad, sweet potato chips, and vegan aioli, and it was delicious! The restaurant has lovely outdoor and indoor seating options, making it a great spot for a late lunch as they stay open until later in the day.

The staff was unable to provide us with any information on their vegan options. Eventually, we settled for a plain salad and a modified burger without any sauces. Additionally, the prices were quite high. They definitely need to up their game when it comes to catering to vegans.

The vegan schnitzel burger is served with a side of sweet potato chips.
