This restaurant is suitable for a relaxed catch-up with a friend or a romantic evening for a young couple, but not recommended for anyone in a hurry or hungry. The food is subpar, the service is disorganized and slow, and the pasta is served with a basic sauce. The two floors of the cafe feature more intimate seating options upstairs, making it feel like you are intruding on others' privacy no matter where you sit. Outdoor seating is available but can be uncomfortably hot. Cake slices are pricey but not worth it, as they can be old and dry. Additionally, the restaurant lacks a generator or emergency lights, so a power outage can result in total darkness and a halt in service.

As a coffee enthusiast, I can assure you that you will adore the atmosphere of this restaurant. It is the perfect spot to relax with a book and enjoy a cappuccino. Located in the heart of Colombo 07, it manages to be peaceful despite its central location. However, it can get quite busy at times. Please be aware that if you are a smoker, you will need to use their designated smoking area.

Avoid this place at all costs. I had a horrible experience here. My mocha latte was extremely watery and I had to wait 50 minutes for my food order. Stay away from this awful restaurant.

Was looking forward to a quality lunch from Barnes place. Ordered mushroom and chicken yellow rice. The packaging looked impressive. The pictures looked great. Dissapointed from the time opened the pack and had a look. The rice was just large grain basic samba and not keeri samba. Very basic low quality food pack. No taste at all. Both myself and husband thought it was terrible, Absolutely nothing good about it. No taste at all. Suggest to change to supiri keeri samba. The piece of chicken drumstick was the smallest everseen. Too oily. Just opening and having a look at the food was not at all appetizing. Overall passed off for experience and will never order again. Pl improve the taste and quality if you want to stay in the business. Putting a salad leaf and a piece of tomato was very basic. Potatoes was not even boiled properly. worst yellow rice I have ever had.

Dont by food from this restuarant. Today I ordered lunch specified as lunch with fried fish. They took rupees but it is not worth for that amount. I am not recommending this more.
