Seen this before someone in the ownership thinks they know the market and the demographic of a location and a year later the new business idea is in trouble. Good luck.
I give the Food a 4/5. My husband had a breakfast burrito and it was really big and filling. Very fresh.... and definitely the best part was the green chili! He loved it. I had a fried chicken burger. It was a great size and very juicy but it really lacked in seasoning. Had it not been for the bacon and red onion, there would've been no flavor at all. The potatoes that came with my dish were delicious for sure. As for the service, it was pretty slow. The couple that came in before us actually took off and left without even ordering because of how long it took for someone to come to their table. I saw them looking around for a waitress but there was no one tending to them. I also noticed that it seemed like there was no bus boys. The waitresses had to man their tables, and also clean up tables which left tables sitting there with dishes piled for 15-20 minutes. I would probably give Buttermilk another chance and maybe try something else, but I really hope they are able to get more help for their wait staff.
Good food and manager on duty was very friendly. Did have one small objection that was not related to food. My wife had the smothered burrito, but it came out more like glazed than smothered. We asked for more Green Chili, which was great tasting and the turnaround time was quick. However we were charged for it, $3.00. For something that should have been smothered to begin with, that was disappointing. However manager made it right without question and apologized.
Wasn't bad, but it's nothing special either. The place was extremely dirty, the food wasn't that great, but our waitress was nice and attentive. Pictures show how dirty it was. Our nice waitress did come to clean the boogers immediately, but it was enough for us to not feel as confident in where or what we were eating. Although newly renovated, I don't think we will be going back.
We stopped on Father's day, and it was crowded as you'd expect, but the wait was manageable and service was ok all things considered. And the kitchen was especially short-staffed. good! I did have to send a dirty glass back, but they fixed that right away and were apologetic about it. Food was plentiful and excellent. If you pick the simpler breakfast (eggs, tatoes and meat) then it's simple, no-fuss fare, and not too big not too small. But if you are in for a treat and order the more elaborate, desserty breakfast... well let's just say you'll come out rolling on a happy little puffy cloud of sugary goodness. The pancakes and the cinnamon buns were good, the french bread was out of this world. Enjoy.
