Bravo Cucina Italiana - Columbus

I placed a takeout order and when we arrived, we noticed that a whole bus of a school hockey team had the staff quite overwhelmed. Our order took longer than expected, but the team did their best to fulfill everyone's requests given the circumstances. They handled some rude customers ahead of us with patience. Having worked in food service myself, I know how challenging it can be. A special thanks to the hostess for doing everything she could to keep things running smoothly!

After we placed our order, we waited a considerable amount of time before he returned to confirm our order, which made me wonder if he had forgotten to submit it—he had. To make matters worse, after we finished our appetizers, he didn’t take away the plates, and the same was true even after we completed our meals. When we finally asked for the check, it took him an eternity to bring it to us. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.

The food and service at this restaurant are typically quite good. However, on this particular visit, the service was lacking and extremely slow. I even had to refill my water glass in the restroom. When my main course arrived, the top of my fettuccine was cold and dried out, and another guest sent back their cold lasagna. The mashed potatoes were also cold. It seems they were understaffed that night, but that doesn’t excuse the obvious fact that the food had clearly been prepared long before it was served. Additionally, even though the dining room was not very busy, we were seated next to a rather loud party of 20, which made it difficult to have a conversation.

After our non-turkey dinner, TJ (assume manager) was great; he offered us a full Thanksgiving dinner pie as take home since they had some dinners left over at closing. Food was good, the bonus take home was good and the service was great.
