This is the last place i would have expected to find killer bbq, but the smoker drew me in ... if you go along I-40 in mid-TN (cookevlleish , take exit 288 and treat yourself (turn south, about 1/4 mile on left ... it's a truck stop with a big smoker outside and the smell will pull you in! inside, there are smoked bbq chicken (wings, leg and breast quarters , ribs, brisket, beef ribs, sausages, etc. we like the ribs and brisket well but the chicken is the best! i travel this road regularly and ALWAYS stop for some to take home, regardless of which direction i'm taking. it's just as good (maybe even better? leftover the next day and so stock up when you stop! i haven't tried anything but the BBQ but i HIGHLY recommend it!
The smoked Turkey Leg, baked beans and potato wedges were the best!
Decent tasting BBQ. I got brisket, a pork chop, and the bologna. All tasted pretty good. The owner and his employee were very nice. The price was really good as well. Two 3 meat plates with two sides for under $25. I would come back for sure
This is some GOOD BBQ if you're willing to eat on the run. There's no place to sit down. It just a gas/convenience store. There's also no sign that I ever saw. Just look for the old run down truck stop with a big smoker in front. We had the brisket sandwich, the hamburger and the pork chop. The burger was the best! It was thick, tender and smoked. My boys went back in for a second one. The smoked pork chop was great, too. The brisket was just ok, but I'm from Texas and Texans still do brisket better than anyone in my opinion.
Oh God, hands down the best burger I have ever had. All im going to say is don't judge a book by its cover. Nice thick burger with so much flavor to it. It was smoked perfect. I almost had to break my diet cause 1 was not enough I had to have more. To bad we can only give 5 stars cause I would have given this place 10.
