Nothing was too much trouble for them, and they were friendly and attentive throughout our visit. As for the food, it was outstanding. I had the potato rösti from the all-day breakfast menu, which was perfectly cooked—crispy, flavorful, and served on a bed of bacon, rocket, and chutney, all topped with a perfectly poached egg and a rich, creamy Hollandaise sauce. My wife’s Leek Thyme Chicken, served in a cast-iron pot, was even better than my dish. It was a sumptuous creation, with the chicken thighs incredibly moist and tender. It was so delicious that we asked for some bread to soak up the leftover sauce! We ended our meal with impressive desserts: sticky date pudding and affogato pudding, as well as a couple of coffees (a delightful flat white and a more mundane chai latte). In summary, Whipbird provided an experience we often seek but seldom find. The venue, food, and service were all five-star. And yes, as noted by some other reviewers, the prices are a bit on the higher side. However, in this instance, the saying "you get what you pay for" holds true, and for us, it was money very well spent.
The food was of high quality and beautifully presented. I had the slow-cooked beef ribs, which were cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. The ambiance was classy. The other dishes my friends ordered were also elegantly presented and likely very tasty.
I highly recommend stopping by for a bite to eat! The staff is incredibly friendly, and the ambiance is adorable. Everything on the menu sounded fantastic, and the three dishes we ordered were all delicious. Honestly, the pancakes were the best I've ever had, and that really says something!
The popularity of Whipbird might be the reason for my only minor whinge. The food, the atmosphere and the service was wonderful, but sadly a bit slow. Having to wait nearly an hour for breakfast brunch is only just acceptable and only because the place was packed.
Very very very very very good food. The wagyu steak was like butter melting in your mouth and the ribs had a pepperie sauce with so much meat on the bone and a barbecue hit, and the berry cheesecake had such a nice sweet rich flavour, it was served with a very light and fluffy whipped cream, it was delicious. I highly recommend this spot.
