B&j’s Pizza Brewpub - Corpus Christi

I ordered a pizza, and it was fantastic. You can really tell that they put a lot of effort into its preparation. The ingredients were fresh, and the dough was hand-tossed. The seating area is somewhat limited, which some may not appreciate, but I thought it suited the atmosphere perfectly.

After about an hour, I checked the order status and saw it still indicated "in preparation." I periodically checked it, but the message remained the same. Finally, at 7:30 PM—two hours after placing my order—I went to the restaurant. I had to wait in the same line as the dine-in customers just to see if my order was ready, which it was. Unfortunately, the pizza was lukewarm and soggy, likely because it had been sitting on top of the oven for nearly an hour. I really don’t like leaving negative feedback for one of my favorite local spots, but they seriously need to improve their operations. They seem to be short-staffed or lacking a better system; I couldn’t get through on the phone, and I didn’t receive any status updates. Even now, three hours later, my order still shows as "in preparation."

I spent 15 minutes on the phone listening to background noise before finally placing my order. When I arrived to pick it up, it took another 45 minutes to get my food. I won't be coming back here again.

A large group of my coworkers and I decided to go here for lunch. They have some pretty good lunch specials. I ordered the 8 inch pizza and a drink and I also ordered a side salad, which was extra. I mean, you gotta have a salad if you're going to eat pizza. Right? I decided to go with the pick your own four toppings choice. And of course my favorites are pepperoni, Italian sausage, mushrooms and black olives. And no, I'm not trying to copy Jerry Seinfeld. My salad came out first and shortly thereafter they brought out my 8 inch pizza. Both were very tasty! The drinks were from the fountain dispenser so it was endless refills. Will I go back here? Oh, most definitely!!

The pizza was very greasy and the cheese and toppings fell off the slice when you tried to pick it up.
