Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónMy favorite coleslaw of any barbecue joint I've ever been to--fresh, good amount of crunch very flavorful. Excellent collard greens, too. My better half likes the tacos here.
Edit: As of Aug 2017 this place is still open, though it is seasonal. Not sure why it's classified as closed. I'm sure they use a totally different wood or smoking technique than places like Dinosaur or Fat Jack's. It's a completely unique flavor that I don't find often. The food is incredible. Huge portions, and a large variety for what's basically a food truck. I definitely recommend the brisket, pulled pork and chicken. The hot dogs themselves are OK but it's the toppings on them that are approaching gourmet. The sandwich combinations are unique and very tasty, I've made my way through about half of the menu and don't plan to stop. You don't find sandwiches like this anywhere near here, the closest I've found is Primanti Bros in Pittsburgh. The woman that served us was incredibly friendly and had our food out in minutes. Everything including sides seems to be homemade. Whoever dissed the mac and cheese is just plain wrong, maybe they came on an off day... The only issue I had is the same I have with any food truck. No fountain drinks, no bathroom and no booth seating, but honestly all that is absolutely trivial especially to go. Summary: the food is unique, inventive, and best of all SCRUMPTIOUS! It has the few downfalls that a food truck has with sit down meals but it is absolutely the best BBQ around. 5 stars easily.
I will start this by saying the owner (female) has heart and suoul. The passion and enery she radiates shines bright! But we can 't eat her beaming personality so let 's get this on! The meat (ribs, brisket and pulled pork) were super tender and fall off the bone, but lacked flavor beyond the bbq sauce poured over them. I like my meat pre rubbed before the cooking process. The mac and cheese was flavorless as the noodles were so overcooked that they were limp. The cheese taste like cheese wiz, no salt, no pepper, no real cheese flavor just overcooked noodles and bland cheese wiz. I think they need to find an alternate mac and cheese receipe with real local cheeses and this issue would be solved. The collards were very vinagery but not terrible, just not good. I asked how they find receipes, who taught her to cook and she responded that she does it out of love. I mwan mean you can 't make this positive can do attitude and self confidence up! But unfortunately, the food was not as awesome as she was. I would suggest finding a good mac and cheese and collards recipe would solve this problem as well as varying the meat rubs. It was the personality of the business and tender meat that gave this place a 3, but the fact that everything was flavorless could not give it anything more.
Fabulous! Great BBQ. Pulled pork is plentiful and perfect. BBQ sauce is fantastic. Close to Rt. 281. Go!
Maybe it wasn't a good day for them but I went because they had marvelous reviews . I ordered the brisket with baked beans and macaroni . The brisket was a little tough . The macaroni lacked cheese or flavor . The baked beans had a weird taste to them .. As I stated before maybe it wasn't a good day for them but I definitely won't be trying it again . They had great customer service skills though .
