Jeanie’s - COZUMEL

Nos encontramos con este restaurante/bar. Pedimos bebidas y resultó ser hora feliz, así que recibimos todo el doble sin preguntar. La ventaja fue la hermosa puesta de sol. Pagamos nuestras bebidas y el camarero (es el mayor) nos preguntó si el servicio era tan malo porque la propina aparentemente no era suficiente. La forma en que lo dijo nos hizo sentir incómodos, así que no volveremos. Lástima porque todos estábamos planeando volver a cenar al día siguiente.

Comida maravillosa a un precio excelente y bebidas 2 por 1 de 4 a 7 p.m. ¡Las fajitas y nachos son generosos y deliciosos! Excelentes vistas al mar y personal amable. Servicio rápido

I've only been on the island two days and have eaten dinner at Jeannie's Waffles both nights. It's fantastic! The food, cocktails, and location are great. The service is better than I've ever received at home in California and I've dined at some really nice establishments. I don't want to mislead you, though. Jeannie's is a very casual and extremely affordable restaurant. I am so comfortable there that I feel like family. I'm kind of sad I didn't know about this place until my last visit to the island. It's a hidden gem. The restaurant is large and very clean. They also have outdoor seating overlooking the ocean either under a covered terrace or directly on the beach. I don't like to eat outdoors however I always request the beach. It's so comfortable and relaxing, a perfect place to unwind after a day of diving, enjoy a cocktail, watch the sunset then gaze at stars. If you're up for a swim they even have direct access to the water which is buoyed off for protection. Let me boast about the service. As you enter Jeannie's you will be greeted with big smiles and everyone makes a point to stop momentarily and welcome you. It's a genuine good hearted welcome, not a formality. Jorge has been my server both nights. He is a seasoned professional, attentive and very kind. I am trying to learn Spanish and he listened and helped me patiently when I tried to order and make conversation. What a true gentleman! Let's talk food! The beef nachos are great--loaded with meat, cheese, and beans with a large and complimentary side of guacamole. I love the guac because they don't mix in onions or tomatoes. The fish tacos are excellent, sooo delicious! The hamburger and fries are surprisingly excellent and the chicken parmigiana is good, too. It came without marinara sauce so I requested some and it arrived in moments. Once I had the sauce it was really really great. The only cocktail I've had here is a mojito and that's because I can't bring myself to order anything else. They make the best mojito anywhere! Love, love, love Jeannie's!

We found this place right off the main street and stopped for dinner one night. We were not disappointed. There were not too many people in there but the gentleman that waited on us was so attentive, kind, and funny. It even has a small beach type area out back where you can sit and watch the sunset. We ordered some chicken nachos (yum), shrimp quesadillas (also good), and a couple of really good margaritas and beers. We were glad we stopped in and even went back 2 days later for more.

One of our favorite restaurants in Cozumel. Seafood is always good. Drinks are also fantastic. Great location to hang out and watch the sunset. Wait staff is always glad to see you and always friendly. Make it a point to eat there at least once every time we visit.
